Lead Developer Advocate
Salesforce
Lead Developer Advocate role at Salesforce in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This is a full-time, on-site position, aimed at experienced professionals.
The listing was posted on 31 Oct 2026 on LinkedIn, and it names JavaScript, Salesforce, HTML and CSS among the skills it asks for.
About Salesforce
The listing describes the employer this way: "Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. And innovation isn’t a buzzword - it’s a way of life."
The role in plain terms
Salesforce wants a lead developer advocate for the APAC region, based in Jaipur. The role designs technical content, reference apps and demos across the Salesforce platform, adapts global advocacy campaigns for regional audiences such as India's student-heavy market, and owns technical workstreams for flagship events like World Tours, TDX and Dreamforce. A second thread is feeding real developer friction back to product and engineering teams.
What the employer asks for
These requirements are quoted or closely condensed from the employer's listing so the details are not distorted:
- Design technical content, reference apps, and demos that span AIforce, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and the wider Salesforce platform built for reuse across events and year-long regional programs.
- Collaborate with Architect Evangelists to incorporate architect content into the programs, campaigns and hands-on activities in the region.
- Contextualize global advocacy campaigns for APAC. For example, adapt one global message into narratives that work for a student-heavy market like India and an enterprise-heavy one like ANZ.
- Own the technical workstreams for flagship events such as World Tours, TDX, and Dreamforce. Design high-scale engagement models for 1000+ audiences, using gamification and interactive coding.
- Own content strategy and assets for programs such as Journey to Salesforce (J2S).
- Delegate component building while personally owning final testing and quality assurance.
- Identify gaps between product, market, and developer needs. Take real-world friction back to product and engineering as the "voice of the Trailblazer.".
- Represent the team in strategic discussions, so Trailblazer and developer needs are prioritized in marketing motions.
- Coach non-technical team members, community leaders, and external presenters to deliver technical content at scale.
- Work with Community Group Leaders and MVPs to help them grow and succeed.
- 8+ years of experience implementing on the Salesforce Platform, with architect-level design skills.
- Recognized cross-product expertise, with a proven ability to build prototypes that connect multiple Salesforce products. Certifications or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven expertise in web applications, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apex, and APIs, plus hands-on curiosity about AIforce, Agentforce and Data Cloud.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, and experience making complex concepts accessible.
Who this role suits
This role suits someone who has already owned this kind of work and can show outcomes, not just responsibilities. The employer leads its requirements with "collaborate with Architect Evangelists to incorporate architect content into the programs, campaigns and hands-on activities in the region" - if that describes you directly, this is a strong match. The work is on-site in Jaipur, so it fits people living in or willing to relocate to the Jaipur area; this is not a remote role.
Practical notes
It would help to have a public trail ready to show: talks, demos, repos or community contributions. Be ready to discuss how you would adapt a global campaign for Indian developers and how you have handled event-scale technical delivery.
