• Be capable of investigating financial movements, identifying underlying drivers, quantifying their impact, and determining where the impact is concentrated
• Be able to take full ownership of a defined area of the P&L, including commentary, recommendations, and follow-up actions
• Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English, particularly when explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders and senior UK management
• Be commercially aware and comfortable challenging figures or assumptions that do not appear reasonable
• Work independently with limited supervision and maintain ownership of issues until a clear outcome is reached
• Be confident in distinguishing between confirmed information, estimates, and areas of uncertainty
• Be proactive in escalating material financial or operational risks
• Be comfortable working UK business hours and meeting UK financial reporting deadlines
