What the work involves

• While SEO will be the primary focus, the role also contributes across the wider digital marketing mix, including content, social media, paid campaigns, email marketing and analytics
• Search Engine Optimization (Primary approx
• Keyword & competitor research: Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis and search-intent mapping to build and maintain the SEO roadmap
• On-page SEO: Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, images and schema markup
• Technical SEO: Run regular site audits and resolve issues relating to crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile usability, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps and robots.txt
• Off-page SEO: Plan and execute ethical link-building through guest posts, digital PR, outreach and partnerships
• monitor and manage the backlink profile
• SEO content: Brief writers, optimize blogs and landing pages, and refresh existing content to improve rankings
• Local SEO: Manage Google Business Profile and local citations where relevant
• Emerging search: Optimize content for featured snippets and AI-driven search experiences (AI Overviews, answer engines)
