What the work involves

• Accounting & Financial Management
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate books of accounts
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries
• Maintain general ledger, cash book, and fixed asset register
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
• Taxation & Statutory Compliance Zambia
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT returns to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA)

• We are looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to manage the company's financial and accounting operations in Zambia
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, handling statutory reporting, and ensuring compliance with Zambian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Manage applicable turnover tax and other statutory tax obligations
• Maintain proper tax records and supporting documentation
• Coordinate with ZRA during tax audits and assessments
• Ensure compliance with applicable Zambian tax laws and regulations
• Payroll Management
• Process monthly employee payroll
