What the work involves

• Edit short- and long-form video content for social media, campaigns, events and brand initiatives.
• Work with briefs, raw footage and creative references to build engaging edits.
• Focus on pacing, storytelling, transitions, music, sound and visual flow.
• Create platform-specific content with an understanding of social-first formats.
• Experiment with hooks, editing styles, formats, trends, sounds and visual treatments.
• Work with footage from shoots, events, creator collaborations and activations.
• Collaborate closely with the creative and marketing teams and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain visual consistency across Alienkind’s content.
• Create different versions, aspect ratios and cutdowns when required.
• Organise project files, footage, assets and final exports properly.

What they are looking for

• 0–2 years of experience; freshers with strong portfolio, project or personal work are welcome.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of After Effects or other motion tools is a plus.
• Ability to take a rough idea and turn it into a compelling video.
• We’re not looking for someone who only cuts clips together.
