• Review and analyze US healthcare medical records, patient summaries, and clinical trial documentation to extract relevant medical information.
• Accurately assign ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, medical procedures, and lab tests (such as CBC).
• Support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and medical billing operations by ensuring accurate Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding.
• Ensure strict compliance with Medicare guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and overarching healthcare operations standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies across various medical specialties, including home health and outpatient care.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and changing global coding guidelines.
• Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or Masters degree in any medical, pharmacy, or life sciences discipline (including Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Biotechnology, or Microbiology).
• Excellent foundational knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and accurately interpret complex clinical documentation.
• Candidates with a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification or formal training in medical coding and billing will have a distinct advantage.
